About the Position

We are seeking Child and Youth Support Workers to join our Child and Youth with Support Needs team on a casual, as-needed basis. As a member of our team, you will provide in-home care and recreation experiences, and be an integral part of the Care Team. Our care team operates from a child-centered approach, providing a circle of support for the youth and/or family.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support to children and youth with complex needs, ensuring their physical, emotional, social, educational, and medical needs are met.
  • Work collaboratively with the Care Team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Engage in non-violent crisis intervention and behavioral interventions as needed.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree or certificate in a relevant discipline in the human/social service field or related experience.
  • Knowledge and skills in attachment-safe approaches with children and youth.
  • Experience in a similar care setting.
  • Criminal Record Clearance and a Ministry of Children and Family Development Security Clearance will be required prior to commencing employment.
  • A valid driver's license.
