Agricultural Labourer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Agricultural Labourer to join our team at Northern Rockies Farms Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with various farm tasks, including crop maintenance, livestock handling, and equipment operation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with crop maintenance, including planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops
  • Handle livestock, including feeding, watering, and monitoring animal health
  • Operate and maintain farm equipment, including tractors and other machinery
  • Perform general farm duties, including cleaning and maintaining work areas
  • Examine products for quality and readiness for market
  • Set and monitor water lines, air flow, and temperature in barns, pens, and chicken coops
  • Load, unload, and transfer crates, supplies, and farm produce, livestock, and poultry
Requirements:
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Physically demanding work, including standing for extended periods and handling heavy loads
  • Manual dexterity and ability to perform repetitive tasks
  • Organized and efficient interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility and ability to work in a team environment
