Job Title: Agricultural Labourer

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Agricultural Labourer to join our team at Northern Rockies Farms Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various tasks related to farming, including harvesting, fertilizing, and maintaining farm equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply fertilizers to crops
  • Clean the crops and work area
  • Clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens, and other work areas
  • Cut agricultural crops
  • Divide fresh harvested produce into marketable lots and non-marketable lots
  • Mixing fertilizer
  • Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops
  • Remove manually all suckers and water sprouts
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
  • Detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock, and poultry
  • Examine product for quality and its readiness for the market

Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently
  • Repetitive tasks
  • Handling heavy loads
  • Physically demanding
  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking
