Agricultural Labourer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Agricultural Labourer to join our team at Northern Rockies Farms Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with various farm tasks, including crop cultivation, livestock care, and equipment operation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Crop Cultivation: Assist with planting, cultivating, and irrigating crops, as well as fertilizing and spraying crops.
  • Livestock Care: Help with the care and maintenance of livestock, including feeding, watering, and monitoring their health.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, including tractors, plows, and other tools.
  • General Farm Duties: Perform general farm duties, including cleaning, loading, and unloading supplies and produce.
Requirements:
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Work Environment: Hay farming and sheep farming.
  • Work Setting: Room and board provided.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding, with ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.

  • Organized: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Team Player: Willingness to work collaboratively with others.
  • Efficient Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.

Please note that this is a permanent position, working 35 hours per week. English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
