Medical Marketing Professional

A diversified and vertically integrated Canadian biopharmaceutical company focused on the research, development, and commercialization of plant-derived cannabinoid-based products for global consumer, medical, and pharmaceutical market segments.
We are seeking a seasoned Medical Marketing Manager to drive marketing programs aligned with our annual strategic marketing plan. The primary objectives are to support medical affairs and commercial business goals, lead acquisition, build awareness of our portfolio of brands, foster patient retention, and provide sales support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and executing medical sales and marketing strategies
- Analyzing medical market trends, sales, and channels to inform forecasts
- Managing digital marketing initiatives, including website content, social media, email marketing, and online advertising campaigns, to drive engagement and lead generation
- Contributing to new product development plans and programs, in collaboration with Medical Affairs team, including successful launch to the Canadian Market
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including sales, product development, and operations, to align marketing efforts with overall business goals and objectives
- Pricing, product concepts, claims, and specifications, competitive product comparisons, new product introductions
- Developing and managing the marketing department's budget
- Overseeing branding, advertising, and promotional campaigns. Leading the execution of marketing programs from start to finish, leveraging internal support and driving collaboration
- Developing and managing promotional plans and materials for trade shows & events
- Analyzing marketing performance metrics and KPIs to track campaign effectiveness, ROI, and patient engagement, and providing insights for continuous improvement
- Collaborating with design and digital team to develop patient and HCP-centric communications and marketing materials
- Managing daily communications with suppliers for program and campaign execution
- Managing external agencies as required
- Preparing and presenting quarterly and annual reports to senior management - Creating, maintaining, and conducting analytics reporting across multiple platforms and extracting key insights for future campaign development and go-to-market strategies, complete with formal proposals and recommendations on tactics
- Staying informed of marketing strategies, trends, and regulations such as analyzing customer insights, consumer trends, market analysis, and marketing best practices to build successful strategies
- Medical marketing management including creating content, communications, and gathering analytics for monthly reporting
**Requirements:**
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or similar
- At least 5 years' experience as a marketing manager
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies and campaigns that drive business results
- Experience in medical or pharmaceutical field an asset
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance considerations in healthcare marketing
- Proficiency with online marketing and social media strategy
- Proven experience developing marketing plans and campaigns
- Extensive knowledge of marketing strategies, channels, and branding
- Superb leadership, communication, and collaboration abilities
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong time management and organizational abilities
- Metrics-driven marketing mind with an eye for creativity
- Must be flexible, able to pivot ideas and execution strategies readily within a fast-paced and dynamic industry which is highly regulated
- Show initiative and generate new ideas to push brand awareness and sell-through forward
**Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience.
