We are currently seeking experienced Program Facilitators to join our team at John Island Camp location in Spanish, Ontario. As a Program Facilitator, you will be responsible for facilitating programming for groups that attend John Island in the spring.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and implementation of programming activities
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of campers
  • Build positive relationships with campers and staff members
  • Deliver a camper-focused experience in all areas of programming
  • Contribute to the setup and maintenance of programming areas
  • Collaborate with other staff members to achieve program goals
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Association

Requirements:

  • OSSD or equivalent considered an asset
  • Experience working with campers aged 7-14
  • Current Standard First Aid and CPR C certification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of camp practices and risk management considerations
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Bilingualism in both official languages considered an asset
  • Current and satisfactory Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector
