Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Health Care Aide to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care to residents and patients, meeting their personal activity of daily living needs as identified within an established care plan.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist residents and patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents and patients
• Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans
• Communicate effectively with residents, patients, and healthcare teams
• Perform other related duties as required

Requirements

• Minimum Grade 12
• Health Care Aide Certificate from a recognized program
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Acute Care)
• One to two years' experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably caring for elderly or disabled clients
• Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize assigned workload
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• Good work and attendance record

• The successful candidate will be expected to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information, adhering to privacy and confidentiality protocols
