Job Summary

We are seeking a Division Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for performing accounting activities, analyzing financial information, and preparing financial reports. You will also assist in ensuring the proper internal controls are in place and provide support to the Area Controller during the annual budget and interim forecasting process.

Responsibilities
  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare journal entries and document business transactions.
  • Assist in ensuring proper internal controls are in place, including compliance with company policies and procedures, Sarbanes Oxley, and all other statutory requirements.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and statistical data and fully analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policy.
  • Support the Area Controller during the annual budget and interim forecasting process and assist with analytical review.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.
Qualifications
  • Accounting experience.
  • A thorough knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • MS Excel skills at an intermediate level.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative to thoughtfully and fully research and follow up on non-standard situations to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Effective and professional interpersonal communication across various levels of the organization and with external customers and vendors.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to complete projects and assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work effectively, cooperatively, and efficiently within a team environment.
  • Experience with general ledger software and other programs consistently used in the industry.
  • Experience with Lawson accounting software and other programs consistently used in the industry.
