Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dental Assistant Supervisor to join our team at Nursing & Homemakers Inc. This is a permanent full-time opportunity offering 35 to 38 hours of work per week.

About the Role

As a Dental Assistant Supervisor, you will be responsible for preparing patients for dental examinations, supervising dental assistants in their health care functions, and performing administrative duties for the dental laboratory. You will also be required to cast gold or metal alloys for bridges and denture bases, order dental and office supplies, and maintain instruments and equipment.

You will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, and your ability to work under pressure and meet expectations will be essential to your success in this role.

In addition to your technical skills and experience, we are looking for someone who is a team player with excellent oral communication skills, who can provide accurate and reliable service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for dental examinations
  • Supervise dental assistants in their health care functions
  • Cast gold or metal alloys for bridges and denture bases
  • Order dental and office supplies
  • Maintain and order instruments and equipment
  • Perform administrative duties for the dental laboratory
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 1-2 years of experience as a dental assistant
  • College/CEGEP diploma in dental assisting or related field
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Accuracy and reliability in performing tasks
