Plastic Surgery Nurse Opportunity

TalentSphere Staffing Solutions is partnering with a leading Plastic Surgery & Medical Aesthetics client to find a dedicated and caring individual to join their team of experienced healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient screenings, reviewing medical history and psychosocial status before surgery.
  • Administer non-invasive treatments such as Botox, laser treatments, and chemical peels.
  • Prepare the operating room for procedures and assist with invasive treatments.
  • Monitor patients before and after surgeries.
  • Discuss procedures with patients, explaining what they can expect before, during, and after the procedure.
  • Care for patients after procedures to ensure proper healing.
  • Provide appropriate care for wounds or surgery sites.
  • Support patients and families throughout treatment.
  • Handle cosmetic and reconstructive patients with sensitivity and professionalism.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other team members to ensure patient needs are met.
Qualifications & Desired Skills
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) preferred.
  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
  • Minimum two years' experience as an RN in plastic surgery.
  • Certification in plastic surgery nursing may be advantageous.
  • Competency in electronic patient management systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries.
  • Vaccines, including COVID-19, are required unless exempt on medical grounds.
  • Experience in a private surgical centre is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
