Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Plastic Surgery Nurse to join our team at a prestigious Plastic Surgery & Medical Aesthetics clinic in Ottawa, ON. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support throughout their surgical journey.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough patient screenings, reviewing medical history and psychosocial status before surgery.
• Administer non-invasive treatments such as Botox, laser treatments, and chemical peels, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Prepare the operating room for procedures and assist with invasive treatments, maintaining a sterile environment.
• Monitor patients before and after surgery, providing timely interventions as needed.
• Educate patients on their procedures, discussing what to expect before, during, and after treatment.
• Provide post-operative care, ensuring patients heal properly and addressing any concerns.
• Collaborate with physicians and other team members to ensure seamless patient care.

Requirements:

• BScN preferred
• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) Certification
• Minimum of two years' experience as an RN in plastic surgery
• Certification in plastic surgery nursing may be advantageous
• Competency in electronic patient management systems
• In-depth knowledge of cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries
• Vaccines (COVID-19 and others) are a requirement of the job unless you have an exemption on a medical ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code
