Plastic Surgery Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Plastic Surgery Nurse to join our team at TalentSphere Staffing Solutions. As a Plastic Surgery Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our clients.
Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough patient screenings and review medical histories and psychosocial statuses before surgery.
- Administer non-invasive treatments such as Botox, laser treatments, and chemical peels.
- Prepare the operating room for procedures and assist with invasive treatments.
- Monitor patients before and after surgeries.
- Discuss procedures with patients and explain what they can expect before, during, and after the procedure.
- Care for patients after procedures to ensure they are healing properly.
- Provide appropriate care for wounds or surgery sites.
- Support patients and families throughout the treatment process.
- Handle cosmetic and reconstructive patients in a non-judgmental and unbiased manner.
- Collaborate with physicians and other team members to ensure all patient needs are met.
- BScN preferred
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) Certification (required for RNs working in PACU)
- Minimum of two years' experience as an RN in plastic surgery.
- Certification in plastic surgery nursing may be advantageous.
- Competency in electronic patient management systems.
- In-depth knowledge of cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries.
- Vaccines (COVID-19 and others) are a requirement of the job unless you have an exemption on a medical ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code.
- Experience in a private surgical centre a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
