Job Title: Senior Manager, Strategic Partnerships

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Strategic Partnerships to join our team at Orbit Insurance Services. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Champion a customer-focused culture: Deepen client relationships and leverage broader relationships, systems, and knowledge to drive business growth.
  2. Define Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Work with Operations teams to establish SLAs and KPIs that align with business objectives.
  3. Lead multiple projects: Participate in multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and effective execution.
  4. Communicate and execute service processes: Communicate service processes to support the organization's strategic direction and execute them effectively.
  5. Ensure efficient and effective operations: Set targets, coordinate workflow, and communicate with other managers in a matrix environment to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  6. Establish strategic initiatives and accomplish financial objectives: Assist in establishing strategic initiatives and accomplish financial objectives by gathering pertinent business, competitive, financial, service, and operations information and forecasting requirements.
  7. Champion a high-performance environment: Contribute to an inclusive work environment and champion a high-performance culture.
  8. Lead and engage managers: Communicate job expectations and competencies necessary to be successful, build plans to develop required skills and capabilities, track progress of staff in relation to expectations and competencies, provide timely feedback on how effectively employees are applying knowledge and skills to achieve job expectations, and reward effective performance.
  9. Support performance management: Support performance management by understanding the corrective processes and methods when established requirements are not met.
  10. Support managers: Respond to daily operational questions, clarify information, and provide direction and counselling as required.
  11. Represent the brokerage: Represent the brokerage with insurance companies, maintaining communications and resolving procedural and underwriting problems as required.
  12. Perform other duties: Perform other duties and competencies as assigned.

Qualifications:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with a university degree or an equivalent insurance designation, CIP, CAIB, CPIB, or FIIC. A minimum of seven years' experience in property and casualty insurance and a minimum of three years' experience in a management position are required. Exceptional communication skills and the demonstrated ability to deal effectively with all levels of internal and external stakeholders are essential. Superior time-management, project-management, and organizational skills to manage competing priorities are also required. The ability to communicate in French is considered an asset.
