About the Role

The Government of Nova Scotia is seeking a highly skilled and organized Legal Services Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Legal Services Division, you will provide high-quality administrative support to our lawyers and contribute to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized legal assistance to lawyers, including preparing and filing documents, and conducting research.
  • Manage files and maintain accurate records in our Central Registry filing system.
  • Respond to inquiries from clients and stakeholders, and provide excellent customer service.
  • Work collaboratively with our team to achieve our goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • Certificate or diploma in a related field, such as legal administration or paralegal studies.
  • Experience working in a legal environment, with a strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in MS Office and other software applications, with the ability to learn new systems and technologies.
