We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Transportation Facilities Project Manager to join our team at Dillon Consulting. As a key member of our Transportation Facilities Group, you will be responsible for leading complex transportation engineering projects and multidisciplinary project teams.
Responsibilities- Manage transportation engineering projects and multidisciplinary project teams, including transportation, civil, buildings, electrical, and water resource engineers, transportation systems planners, environmental planners, environmental scientists, architectural staff, and technical support staff.
- Develop and maintain technical expertise on a variety of transportation engineering projects, environmental assessments, preliminary design, detailed design, and construction phase services.
- Lead the preparation of technical reports and studies to support the development of transportation facilities designs, including EA documentation.
- Prepare and manage contract documentation, including contract drawings, construction specifications, tender quantity and cost estimates, and working day estimates.
- Manage and deliver stakeholder consultation programs and municipal council and agency presentations.
- Provide regular and effective communication with clients, develop and oversee project budgets, and take overall responsibility for successful project delivery.
- Prepare estimates and project proposals.
- Take a leading role in maintaining the MTO client relationship.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities, in collaboration with other project managers.
- Contribute to the leadership of the Transportation Facilities Group.
- Business travel for project meetings and to other Dillon offices upon request.
- Commit to self-development and ongoing learning and professional development.
- Input to the career development of junior and intermediate staff, including technical direction, training recommendations, coaching, and mentoring.
- Contribute to Dillon's corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees.
- A degree in civil engineering.
- Licensed to practice as a professional engineer in the province of Ontario.
- A minimum of 15 years of related work experience.
- Proven leadership and business development capabilities.
- Proven experience with the MTO environmental assessment process and preliminary/detail design of provincial facilities infrastructure.
- Previous experience with alternative project delivery models.
- Demonstrated abilities in the management and leadership of multidisciplinary project teams.
- Exceptional abilities in project management.
- Proven skills in public and agency consultation.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Applications (Teams, Word, Excel, and Google Suite).
- Strong verbal and writing skills, including experience in the preparation of technical memos and reports.
