We are seeking a District Sales Manager to lead our retail stores in Newfoundland and Labrador. This role requires a strong leader who can drive store performance and growth, while maintaining the highest standards of customer satisfaction and employee engagement.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success in driving sales growth, developing and executing business plans, and leading cross-functional teams. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and sustain trusted relationships with dealers and store staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute customized business plans to achieve financial and operational goals for stores within your district.
  2. Identify opportunities to increase store performance and develop action plans to address gaps.
  3. Coach and support dealers on executing sales, merchandising, and marketing initiatives to drive store performance.
  4. Establish yourself as the central point of contact to support driving in-store performance.
  5. Monitor store standards and customer experience measures to protect the Canadian Tire brand.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in the retail industry, with a focus on driving sales.
  • Strong understanding of store operations, including logistics, retail merchandising, automotive service, and horticulture.
  • Canadian Tire retail store leadership experience is an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and sustain trusted relationships.
  • Ability to coach and train individuals and groups.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and sustain trusted relationships.
  • Experience using data and analytics to perform root cause analysis and inform solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills, written, verbal, and active listening.
