Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is a leading healthcare provider in Manitoba, dedicated to delivering high-quality patient-centered care. We are currently seeking an experienced Communication Specialist - Speech and Language Therapist to join our team.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a skilled professional to provide quality Speech-Language Pathology services to patients across Manitoba. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for prevention, identification, evaluation, assessment, diagnosis, counseling, treatment, management, and education of communication and swallowing disorders. You will also educate and supervise students and professionals, as well as conduct research.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university. You must also be registered with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Manitoba (CASLPM) and hold CPR training certification. Preference will be given to those applicants who are competent in an Indigenous language and/or knowledgeable in Indigenous customs, traditions, and values.

Responsibilities
  • Provide quality Speech-Language Pathology services to patients
  • Educate and supervise students and professionals
  • Conduct research in the field of Speech-Language Pathology
Working Conditions

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. An employee is not permitted to hold two or more positions in Shared Health that combine to equal more than 1 FTE.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $93,200 - $115,400 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a pension plan and paid time off.
