About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Community Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority.

The successful candidate will work closely with our healthcare professionals to provide high-quality rehabilitation services to individuals and families in need.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a community-based setting, preferably in the field of addiction and mental health.

You will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing counseling services to clients and their families.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals and community stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' needs and develop personalized treatment plans
  • Provide one-on-one and group counseling services to clients and their families
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and community agencies to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners to enhance service delivery
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • A minimum of one year supervised counselling experience from a family systems perspective, preferably in the addictions field
  • Training and/or experience in Motivational Interviewing techniques and developing educational material and services
  • A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle for travel throughout the service area
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations
