About the Role

Patrimonica, a leading multi-family office in Montreal, seeks an experienced Investment Director to join its Private Markets team. As a key member of the investment team, you will be responsible for identifying and evaluating investment opportunities in private markets, including private equity, real assets, and other alternative investments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Chief Investment Officer to develop and implement the firm's private markets investment strategy
  • Conduct thorough due diligence on potential investment opportunities, including financial analysis, market research, and risk assessment
  • Develop and maintain relationships with investment managers, fund sponsors, and other industry professionals
  • Provide investment recommendations to the Chief Investment Officer and the Investment Committee
  • Monitor and report on portfolio performance, including risk management and return on investment
  • Participate in investment committee meetings and contribute to the development of investment policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in private markets investment, including private equity, real assets, and other alternative investments
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with investment managers, fund sponsors, and other industry professionals
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Bloomberg or other financial data platforms
  • Bilingualism in French and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
