Job Title: Lawyer

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Lawyer to join our team at Robert J. Carter Law Corporation.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for advising clients on their legal rights and matters related to law, performing administrative functions, and representing clients in courts of law. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of legal principles and procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advise clients on their legal rights and matters related to law
  • Perform administrative functions related to the practice of law
  • Represent clients in courts of law, tribunals, and boards
  • Draw up legal documents and prepare statements of legal opinion
  • Negotiate settlements of civil disputes
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Law
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field
  • Membership in a provincial or territorial law society
  • Proficiency in MS Access, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows, and MS Word
  • MAC proficiency
