We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lawyer to join our team at Robert J. Carter Law Corporation.

Job Description:

Job Summary: As a Lawyer, you will be responsible for advising clients on their legal rights and matters related to law, performing administrative functions, and representing clients in courts of law.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients on their legal rights and matters related to law
  • Perform administrative functions related to the practice of law
  • Represent clients in courts of law, tribunals, and boards
  • Draw up legal documents and prepare statements of legal opinion
  • Negotiate settlements of civil disputes
  • Represent interests of corporation/employer in all business-related legal matters

Requirements:

  • Membership in a provincial or territorial law society
  • Strong knowledge of MS Access, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows, and MS Word
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
  • Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility and reliability
