Type: Part Time

The Gabriel Dumont Institute invites applications for a Faculty II position in Early Childhood Education.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified instructor to teach the Lakeland College Early Childhood Education Certificate program. The successful candidate will be responsible for instructional planning and delivery, providing support and guidance to students, and evaluating student performance.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach course lessons, assignments, and lectures
  • Provide hands-on learning opportunities
  • Support and guide students in practical work experience
  • Evaluate student performance through observations, assignments, exams, and progress reports
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Education Degree and specialize in Early Learning and Child Care. A Bachelor's Degree in Primary Education will be considered, with experience working in early years settings.

The candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, communication skills, and the ability to deliver instruction effectively. Familiarity with diverse learning needs and an inclusive approach to teaching are required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience teaching at the post-secondary level and previous involvement in early childhood settings would be considered an asset.

Term and Salary:

August 2024 – June 2025 (possibility of renewal)

$66,571 – $87,603
