Biostatistics Faculty Position

We are seeking a highly qualified individual for a tenure-track biostatistics faculty position at the assistant professor level in the Department of Community Health and Epidemiology, College of Medicine.
About the DepartmentThe Department of Community Health and Epidemiology is a dynamic and cohesive academic department with 18 faculty members and 34 associates and adjuncts. We have active graduate programs and contribute to undergraduate education in medical and health sciences, as well as postgraduate education through the Public Health and Preventative Medicine Residency Program.
About the PositionThe successful candidate will have a PhD in Biostatistics or an equivalent discipline and experience in machine learning, Bayesian statistics, artificial intelligence, or longitudinal data analysis. Postdoctoral experience in areas of application such as biostatistical methods for population and public health, clinical or health services research is an asset. The candidate must have a strong record of research excellence, demonstrated by peer-reviewed publications and potential to attract external research funding. Strong interpersonal, leadership, communication, and engagement skills are essential, as well as the ability to create and sustain partnerships with diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications- PhD in Biostatistics or equivalent discipline
- Experience in machine learning, Bayesian statistics, artificial intelligence, or longitudinal data analysis
- Postdoctoral experience in areas of application such as biostatistical methods for population and public health, clinical or health services research
- Strong record of research excellence
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, communication, and engagement skills
