Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Quality Plant Engineering Leader to join our team at TEC Group Inc. in Brampton, ON - Canada.

About the Role:

  • The successful candidate will lead our quality engineering team and be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards are met in all aspects of vehicle production.
  • This is a contract position with the goal of transitioning to direct employment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily operational meetings with the Quality Plant Engineering Manager and his team to address quality issues and production challenges.
  • Weekly meetings with the FQM manager and other key stakeholders to coordinate progress and drive quality improvements.
  • Convening site directors and quality managers to address supplier performance and drive corrective actions.
  • Liaising with suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Supporting the Quality Plant Engineering Manager in decision-making related to vehicle quality and production requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in an engineering department, vehicle/mechanic plant, or project team.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience in leading an engineering team to deliver product changes and launches on time.
  • Experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and corrective actions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, from high-level meetings to shop floor interactions.
  • Ability to work off-shift hours as necessary.
  • Self-motivated and directed, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-intensity environment while working on multiple projects.
  • Rigorous and pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
