Job Summary:We are looking for a seasoned UXO Technician to work on various projects across Canada. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting searches, classifying and identifying UXO and military munitions, excavating subsurface UXO, and transporting explosive materials.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough searches and reconnoiters to identify UXO and military munitions
- Classify and identify UXO and military munitions by type, physical characteristics, and condition
- Excavate subsurface UXO and transport explosive materials over authorized routes
- Prepare firing systems for destruction operations and operate personnel decontamination stations
- Assist in inspecting material that potentially presents an explosive hazard and properly store explosive materials
- Retired CAF members of one of the following trades: Ammo Tech, Combat Engineer, Clearance Diver, or Air Weapon Tech, with EOD training (HA qualified) or;
- Graduate of a formal UXO training course
- Seasonal/Contract position with approximately 40 hours of work per week
- Per diems and travel allowance when applicable
