GEMTEC Consulting Engineers & Scientists Limited is seeking a skilled UXO Technician to join our team. As a UXO Technician, you will be responsible for searching, classifying, and identifying unexploded ordnance and military munitions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Search for and identify UXO and military munitions by type, physical characteristics, and condition.
  • Excavate subsurface UXO and transport explosive materials over authorized routes.
  • Prepare firing systems for destruction operations and operate personnel decontamination stations.
  • Assist in inspecting material that potentially presents an explosive hazard and properly store explosive materials.

Qualifications:

  • Retired CAF members of one of the following trades: Ammo Tech, Combat Engineer, Clearance Diver, or Air Weapon Tech, with EOD training (HA qualified) or;
  • Graduate of a formal UXO training course.

Position:

  • Seasonal/Contract – approx. 40 hours a week
  • Per diems and travel allowance when applicable
