**Job Summary**

BJRC Recruiting is seeking a highly skilled Compliance Specialist to join our team. As a Compliance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring our client's alternative asset management activities are in compliance with relevant regulations.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Oversee compliance aspects of fundraising activities, including ensuring adherence to regulations from Canada, the U.S., the U.K., and the EU.
  • Collaborate with investment teams and internal stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Support regulatory examinations, audits, and address other regulatory matters as needed.
  • Assist in preparing disclosures for limited partners and develop, update, and communicate compliance policies, procedures, and training programs.
  • Identify and deploy new technology solutions to enhance compliance systems.
  • Assist with compliance testing and coordination with business units.
  • Manage compliance with limited partnership and investor side letter requirements.
  • Support the investment team in conducting due diligence on transactions, including anti-money laundering and risk assessments.
  • Work with business platforms and corporate teams to prepare regulatory reports and filings, and conduct annual compliance reviews.
  • Participate in special projects.

**Requirements**

  • 6+ years of experience in compliance or legal roles, ideally within asset management.
  • Skilled in using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with private funds and associated regulatory reporting.
  • Demonstrates a strong sense of ownership and leadership.
  • Keen interest in financial markets and compliance procedures, with the capability to engage effectively with business stakeholders.
  • Driven, proactive, and intelligent with a proven history of achieving high standards.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
