Fire Alarm System Designer Professional

We are currently seeking a Fire Alarm System Designer to join our team. As a Fire Alarm System Designer, you will be responsible for designing accurate and complete fire alarm system designs and submittal packages to meet project requirements.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Creating detailed technical submissions with complete schematics and drawings to meet design criteria.
- Verifying system design meets code and standard requirements through detailed calculations.
- Participating in pre- and post-project design meetings and attending customer/site coordination meetings as applicable.
- Developing a bill of materials to facilitate construction.
You will also be expected to:
- Examine completed submissions for equipment application, compatibility, and compliance with specifications and scope.
- Provide support to Project Managers when orders have been received to assist in maintaining and/or improving project margins.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager during system commissioning to verify system performance against the design.
- Mentor and provide guidance to CAD Support Technicians in the completion of project deliverables.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of three years of experience with design in the fire alarm industry.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Government/Provincial Fire Alarm Code Requirements.
- Advanced computer skills, particularly with drafting tools (AutoCAD) and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
We offer a competitive salary of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package, including paid vacation, holidays, and sick time. We also offer opportunities for career advancement and professional development.
