We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Baggage Operations Manager to join our team at the Greater Toronto Airports Authority. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of baggage to and from aircraft.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the 'Day-of' baggage operations team to ensure safe and secure operations.
- Monitor and analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to optimize baggage flow.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure successful baggage operations.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and reduce baggage handling times.
- Manage and maintain situational awareness related to people, planes, and baggage flows.
- Provide leadership and guidance to team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators to ensure compliance with established standards.
- Participate in operational conference calls to discuss baggage operations and identify areas for improvement.
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field.
- 1-3 years of people management or leadership experience.
- 3 years of experience in an airport environment or similar with demonstrated experience serving a large and complex customer base.
- Valid Ontario G Driver's License.
- Ability to obtain a D/A AVOP (Airside Drivers license) within 60 days from start date.
- Ability to obtain and retain Transportation Security Clearance at the designated level for the position.
