Job Summary

General Motors is seeking a Senior Manager, Labour Relations to lead our labour relations efforts in Canada. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing labour relations strategies, managing collective bargaining, and providing guidance on labour relations matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement labour relations strategies to achieve business objectives
  • Manage collective bargaining, negotiations, and contract administration
  • Provide guidance on labour relations matters, including employment standards and labour relations legislation
  • Lead labour relations teams and provide coaching and development opportunities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA considered an asset
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive labour relations experience, and employee relations experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills in facilitation, negotiation, and conflict resolution
  • Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and work to plan
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
