About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Shift Manager to join our team at A&W (Uxbridge). As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of food service staff and ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Training and Development: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, as well as provide ongoing coaching and feedback to improve performance.
  • Customer Service: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Operations Management: Establish methods to meet work schedules, estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and prepare budget and cost estimates.
  • Reporting and Record-Keeping: Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and prepare and submit reports as required.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service management role.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication in this role.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
