Engineering Co-op Opportunity

Westlake Pipe & Fittings is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented engineering student to join our team as a co-op. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in process engineering and plant operations.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Maintenance Superintendent, Operations Manager, and Process Engineer on design and operation improvement projects
- Perform theoretical analysis on production scenarios and provide recommendations for process enhancements
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and provide recommendations on state-of-the-art extrusion and automation technology
- Participate in cross-functional continuous improvement teams and contribute to the development of plant layouts, tooling drawings, and critical spare part drawings through reverse engineering
- Enter plant maintenance data into the MP2 computerized maintenance management software
- 3rd-year engineering student (Mechanical or Chemical preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
