Job Summary

The Director of Finance will manage all finance and accounting related duties for Centurion Asset Management Inc. This includes financial reporting, process re-engineering, team resource management, and special projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, with experience in IFRS and tax laws.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure efficient and effective management of all financial functions for Centurion.
  • Develop and monitor compliance of internal financial controls to ensure protection from risk and adherence to statutory requirements.
  • Oversee preparation of timely bank reconciliations, cash flow forecasting, and debt management.
  • Assist with successful financing of new acquisitions and management of Centurion's funds.
  • Complete corporate accounting duties, maintaining accounting records of ancillary companies.
  • Oversee preparation of quarterly consolidated financial statements and notes to the financial statements.
  • Participate in completion of Management Discussions and Analysis as well as Annual Reports.
  • Assist with quarterly portfolio valuation process and manage preparation and review of monthly reporting packages.
Requirements
  • Completion of a bachelor's (or Master's) degree in Finance and/or Accounting.
  • CPA designation.
  • 5 years of external reporting and corporate finance experience; public and/or private real-estate industry experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated high level of leadership and managerial skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of IFRS, tax laws, and regulations.
  • Excellent command of Excel with strong verbal, analytical, organizational, and written skills.
  • Experience with Yardi property management accounting system considered an asset.
