Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team at Nova Scotia Limited. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing drywall sheets, fabricating and installing suspended metal ceiling grids, and ensuring a high-quality finish on all projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets to ensure a smooth and even finish.
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.
  • Install acoustic tile, hangers for suspended ceilings, and metal studs for composition wallboard or lath.
  • Install vapour barriers and thermal and sound insulation.
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in drywall installation.
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
  • Ability to work at heights and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical stamina to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a dusty and noisy environment.
