Job Title: Senior Designer
Job Summary:
Parsons Oman is seeking a highly skilled Senior Designer to join our Critical Infrastructure team. As a Senior Designer, you will be responsible for preparing complex drainage and stormwater management layouts and design drawings utilizing theoretical and practical design knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Development: Interprets and ensures conformance to applicable standards and codes, as well as company policies and procedures. Utilizes advanced software to complete assignments.
- Geometric Design: Performs basic geometric design of road and highway systems, including grading and drainage.
- Collaboration: Works closely with Engineers and other disciplines to ensure coordinated design systems. Meets stormwater management and drainage layout requirements and develops alternate design layouts of systems as required.
- Quality Assurance: Ensures compliance with required design safety factors, tolerances, and specifications. Reviews supplier data and supplier/manufacturer drawings, as required.
- Design Review: Checks orthographic (2D) and/or isometric (3D) drawings prepared by others.
- Training and Development: Assists in training lower-level Designers in various procedures.
- Software Utilization: Utilizes Civil3D and/or Microstation, InRoads/OpenRoads to perform various design work.
Requirements:
- Education: 2-year technical degree or certificate of completion from an accredited designer/drafter course (or equivalent) is preferred, as well as 8+ years of relevant experience.
