Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at Qualicare Home Care Kamloops. As a key member of our care team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our clients in their homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding patients
  • Help patients with mobility and transfer activities
  • Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties
  • Administer medications and provide wound care as needed
  • Document patient care and progress in a timely and accurate manner
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of a healthcare aide program or equivalent experience
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certification
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds and stand for long periods
