Job Summary

At YARROW LIMITED PARTNERSHIP, we are seeking a skilled Healthcare Support Worker to join our team. As a Healthcare Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supply and empty bed pans, ensuring a clean and hygienic environment for patients.
  • Take patients' blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, providing accurate and timely information to healthcare professionals.
  • Serve meal trays and feed patients, promoting nutrition and hydration.
  • Weigh, lift, turn, and position patients, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Deliver messages, reports, requisitions, and specimens between departments, maintaining effective communication.
  • Make beds and maintain patients' rooms, contributing to a clean and organized environment.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels.
  • Bathe, dress, and groom patients, promoting dignity and respect.
  • Transport patients between care facilities, ensuring safe and timely transfers.
  • Transport patients in wheelchair or stretcher, providing necessary support.
  • Answer call signals to determine patients' needs, responding promptly and professionally.
  • Administer first aid in emergency situations, providing critical care.

Requirements

  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience, or equivalent experience.
