Workplace Rehabilitation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Workplace Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team in the District of West Vancouver.
The ideal candidate will have a Degree or Diploma in Business, Human Resources, or a related field with a focus on Disability Management, and at least 3 years of progressively more responsible experience in Disability Management. A solid comprehension of Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) is also essential.
This temporary full-time position involves developing, implementing, and evaluating complex case management plans for employees who are ill or injured, with the goal of returning them to work as soon as possible.
The successful candidate will provide expert advice and support to employees and managers on disability management practices, ensure consistency with legislation and collective agreements, and act as the primary contact with external representatives such as case managers and rehabilitation specialists.
In this role, you will investigate workplace accidents, collaborate with WorksafeBC, and effectively communicate with various stakeholders. Proactive collaboration with colleagues within the Human Resources & Payroll Services division is also expected.
To be considered for this position, you must possess advanced knowledge of case management principles, relevant legislation, regulations, guidelines, and best practices. Familiarity with non-occupational disability management practice and the WorkSafeBC claims adjudication process is also necessary.
The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
This is an exempt temporary full-time position with 35 hours of work per week. The location is West Vancouver, British Columbia.
