Travel Operations Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Travel Coordinator to join our team at Dexterra Group. As a Travel Coordinator, you will play a vital role in coordinating the transportation of employees across Northwestern Ontario, Manitoba, and Nunavut.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing travel arrangements, communicating with employees, and ensuring their safe journey management plans are in place. You will also be required to maintain accurate and up-to-date travel records using internal tools and software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize and communicate travel arrangements for employees
- Escalate any traveler requests or concerns to the appropriate supervisor or manager
- Maintain an inventory of company vehicles
- Coordinate safe journey management plans
- Invoicing: create and submit purchase orders
- Provide support to the logistics team as required
- On call and weekend support as needed
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A high school diploma; some higher education preferred
- A valid G class driver's license with a clean driving abstract
- Previous training and experience with ELITE or similar travel software highly preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong working knowledge of the travel industry
- Excellent decision-making skills with the ability to assess multiple options and identify the best choice to serve a specified goal

Work Schedule:
The Travel Coordinator works a schedule of Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm with some on-call and weekend coverage required.
