About the Job:


We are seeking an experienced Travel Coordinator to join our team in Northwestern Ontario, Manitoba, and Nunavut. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for coordinating travel arrangements, managing transportation vendors, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.



Salary:


The estimated annual salary for this position is $49,600 (based on a 37.5-hour workweek at $24.00 per hour).



Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate travel arrangements for employees, including air travel, hotel accommodations, and ground transportation
  • Escalate traveler requests or concerns to supervisors or managers
  • Send return-to-work emails to scheduled staff and ensure site requirements are met
  • Use corporate travel platforms to book travel while minimizing costs
  • Prepare travel itineraries and distribute schedules to drivers
  • Organize drivers, scheduling, preparing routes, and maintaining driver manifests
  • Maintain an inventory of company vehicles
  • Coordinate safe journey management plans
  • Invoice creation and submission
  • Provide support to the logistics team as needed
  • On-call and weekend support
  • Maintain point of contact/dispatch safety services with drivers and vendors
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
  • Uphold workplace health and safety requirements
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date travel records


Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you must have:



  • A high school diploma; some higher education preferred
  • A valid G-class driver's license with a clean driving abstract
  • Previous training and experience with ELITE or similar travel software (highly preferred)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong working knowledge of the travel industry
  • Excellent decision-making skills with the ability to assess multiple options
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
