We are seeking a highly skilled Research Associate in Genomics/Bioinformatics to join our team at the Centre de recherche de l'Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont.

Job Description

The successful candidate will play a central role in conducting genomic studies aimed at molecular characterization of etiologies and consequences of clonal hematopoiesis in aging human individuals. They will also collaborate on precision medicine projects in hematology-oncology and develop and implement novel genomic and bio-informatic technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct genomic studies and analyze whole exome (WES) and whole genome (WGS) data
  • Collaborate on precision medicine projects in hematology-oncology
  • Develop and implement novel genomic and bio-informatic technologies
  • Write scientific publications and grant reports
  • Supervise students
  • Work in a team environment and demonstrate leadership and interpersonal communication skills
  • Meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Be bilingual in English and French

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in molecular biology
  • Post-DOC in genomic/bioinformatics or 3 years of experience in the field
  • Expertise in performing and analyzing WES and WGS data
  • Demonstrated excellence in writing scientific publications
  • Strong team player with leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Bilingual in English and French
  • Salary dependent on qualifications and experience
