Business Analyst Job Description

As a Business Analyst at GFL Environmental, you will play a critical role in driving business decision-making and process improvement. You will work closely with Finance, IT, and Operations teams to identify opportunities for improvement and develop solutions to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain data-driven insights to inform business decisions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement process improvements
  • Support the development of business requirements and system change requests
  • Ensure data quality and integrity through the implementation of data quality controls
  • Develop and maintain business process controls and KPIs
Requirements:
  • University degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, finance, economics, mathematics, or computer science
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to define solutions to abstract problems
  • Experience with SQL and data aggregation techniques
  • Advanced skills with MS Excel and VBA coding
  • Knowledge of project management techniques, Agile methodology, Lean, or Six Sigma
