Job Title: Ethnic Food Cook

We are seeking a skilled Ethnic Food Cook to join our team at 2831725 Ontario Inc. As an Ethnic Food Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, as well as requisitioning food and kitchen supplies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Co-ordinate special events and determine the size of food portions and costs
  • Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
  • Order supplies and equipment
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas
  • Manage kitchen operations
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Standing for extended periods and working under pressure
  • Client focus, flexibility, organized, reliability, and team player
  • Free parking available and 40 hours per week
