We are seeking a skilled Ethnic Food Cook to join our team at SHAHEEN FOOD CENTRE INC. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating special events, determining food portion sizes and costs, and planning menus and estimating food requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Coordination: Coordinate special events, including planning menus, estimating food requirements, and requisitioning food and kitchen supplies.
  • Culinary Expertise: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, inspect kitchens and food service areas, and train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
  • Supervision: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, manage kitchen operations, and order supplies and equipment.
  • Client Focus: Demonstrate client focus, dependability, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, team player, and time management skills.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
