About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Preparation

Develop and implement menus that showcase the flavors and ingredients of South Indian cuisine.

Cooking and Food Preparation

Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, ensuring that they meet our high standards of quality and presentation.

Inventory Management

Manage inventory levels of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to meet customer demand.

Staff Training and Development

Train and develop our kitchen staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.

Cleanliness and Safety

Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure that they meet our high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Experience

2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.

Work Setting

Restaurant or catering firm experience is required.

Physical Demands

The ability to stand for extended periods, handle heavy loads, and work in a fast-paced environment is essential.

Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position, working 30 to 40 hours per week. Public transportation is available.

Language

English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
