We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Si Lom Thai Bistro. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen and ensuring that all dishes meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
Job DescriptionThe ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a senior chef role, with a strong background in menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen management. You will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing menus that showcase our unique blend of Thai cuisine and international flavors;
- Overseeing the preparation and presentation of all dishes to ensure consistency and quality;
- Maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety protocols;
- Supervising and mentoring junior staff members to develop their skills and knowledge;
- Managing inventory and ordering supplies to minimize waste and optimize costs;
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery;
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience as an executive chef or in a senior chef role;
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team;
- Excellent culinary skills, with a deep understanding of flavor profiles, ingredient combinations, and cooking techniques;
- Knowledge of food safety and handling procedures, with a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment;
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities;
We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus additional benefits including:
