About the Role

This position will provide specialized mental health services to older adults in our community. The successful candidate will have earned a doctorate degree and have experience working with seniors, ideally for at least one year.

The work term for this role is permanent, with a typical workload of 1500 to 1680 hours per year. The work language for this position is English.

Salary Information

The estimated salary range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.

Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing high-quality, patient-centered care to older adults with mental health concerns;
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans;
  • Conducting assessments and providing therapy sessions as needed;
  • Maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Doctoral Degree in Psychiatry or a related field;
  • At least one year of experience working with older adults, preferably in a geriatric mental health setting;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • A strong understanding of adult learning principles and group facilitation techniques.
