Job Title: Food Service Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at The Host Fine Indian Cuisine. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen and dining area, ensuring that our high standards of quality and service are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and implement efficient work schedules to meet the demands of our busy restaurant.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain a well-stocked inventory and minimize waste.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of our kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that dishes are prepared to our high standards.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Hire and manage food service staff to ensure that our team is well-equipped to provide exceptional service to our customers.
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards by conducting regular quality checks and addressing any issues promptly.
  • Prepare budget and cost estimates to ensure that our kitchen operations are running efficiently and effectively.
  • Address customer complaints in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of service.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform our kitchen operations and make data-driven decisions.
  • Prepare and submit reports to management on a regular basis, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
  • 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role, preferably in a restaurant or similar environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, customers, and management.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures, with the ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
