Clerical Support Associate Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Clerical Support Associate to join our Haemodialysis Department, Nephrology Program. As a key member of our team, you will provide administrative support, maintain accurate records, and ensure seamless communication with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service and first-line support to patients and families
  • Manage administrative tasks, including scheduling, data entry, and record-keeping
  • Collaborate with the Dietary department and other healthcare teams to ensure efficient patient care
  • Register patients for appointments, apply armbands, and assist with wheel-trans rides
  • Collect and submit statistics and data as required
  • Perform unit staffing tasks and provide clerical support as needed

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Completion of a Community College Office Administration Diploma (preferably Medical) or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year of full-time recent clerical experience, preferably in an out-patient healthcare setting
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
