Claims Adjuster

As an Insurance Claims Adjuster at SGI, you will play a key role in ensuring that our customers receive fair and timely resolutions to their auto insurance claims. Your expertise in investigating and evaluating claims will be crucial in determining the best course of action to resolve these claims efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate and evaluate auto insurance claims to determine the extent of damage or loss.
- Negotiate settlements with claimants and third-party service providers.
- Review and interpret police reports, repair invoices, and other relevant documents to bring claims to resolution.
- Assess and evaluate coverage as it applies to the details of the loss.
- Administer claims payments and settlements.
- Recognize and pursue subrogation or salvage opportunities.
Requirements:
- Two-year diploma from an accredited post-secondary education institution in a relevant field of study, such as Business.
- 2-4 years of experience in a technical insurance role.
- Knowledge of Ontario's automobile insurance legislation and regulations.
- Knowledge of automobile insurance policy wording.
- Knowledge of the principles and practice of insurance and techniques related to the settlement of claims.
